Jacobert Guignolet Kirsch Pur

  • Category Liqueur
  • Country of Origin n.c
  • Manufacturer n.c

A specific sub-category of cherry liqueur, guignolet is a wild cherry liqueur made from guignes, although black and sour cherries are sometimes added to the recipe.

Giffard in Angers, France, was a leading producer of guignolet. But when the original recipe was lost, another Angers-based company reinvented the formula, Cointreau brothers.

Besides being consumed as an apéritif, guignolet is also featured in a guignolo: guignolet, champagne and cherry juice.
