About Germany
It is the Romans who, the first, established the vineyard. German wines were very renowned in the Middle Ages.
After a long period of decline until XXth century, culture resumed. Today, 13 regions produce 87 % of white wines. They decline of the driest, Trocken, in the most liqueur-like, rare Trockenbeerenauslese.
In numerous wine domains (Weingut), the riesling prevails in king on other white grape varieties (müller-thurgau, sylvaner, scheurebe) and reds (pinot black, dornfelder, to lemberger).
