About Rhône Valley
It is the second largest French wine region in area and in production, behind Bordeaux.
The region ranges from south of Lyons, up to Avignon, following the course of the Rhône river. It is rich in several mythical vineyards such Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Hermitage, Condrieu and Côte Rôtie. The most famous grape varieties are syrah, grenache and viognier. The common point in wines from the Rhône: it is fond of good food, liveliness and sun.
There are two zones, one in the north and one in the south.
