About Madeira
This volcanic island produces the original Madeira wine.
It is a wine that is cooked for at least 3 months so that achieves the sought-after caramel aromas sought by amateurs.
The grape varieties used in most cases are malmsey, sercial, Madeira de Bual, verdelho and terrantez. They are divided into 4 qualities according to the time of the wine's ageing ("Finest" after 3 years; "Reserve" at the end of 5 years; "Special Reserve" after 10 years and "Extra Reserve" at the end of 15 years).
