Mangoustan's is an old and famous brand made from a blend of rhums from the French Antilles. This older bottling was produced by Slaur-Chauvet in Le Havre, an importer and bottler of many brands of rhum.

Mangoustan's is especially popular in the French speaking African countries, where French settlers popularized it in the last century. Today, it is the traditional spirit at African ceremonies celebrating life's thresholds from birth to death.
