#3About Digestif
The digestif is a drink consumed after dinner to the stomach, or to aid the digestion process. Many spirits come under this category, such as cognac, whisky, and calvados. However there are also a set of liqueurs that also come under this category which contain a particularly high quantity of bitter herbs which help prevent or ease the formation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract. Digestifs include Fernet Branca, a famous Italian after dinner drink.
