The appellation Barolo is probably the most prestigious in Italy. It is in the southwest of the city of Alba, known for its production of white truffles. Very tannic, tough and intense in aromas, this red wine made from the nebbiolo grape variety. It is generally necessary to wait a minimum of 7 years before savouring it.
