Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | The Celluloid Pantry: Champagne/Shampoo and Casino Royale (1967)
A James Bond movie is nothing without champagne, and so it only stands to reason that any good James Bond spoof needs a silly scene where corks get popped.

Adventures of a cocktail enthusiast » Oh Gosh!
My interest in cocktails began several years ago at University, with sickly-sweet concoctions made with pre-mixes and cheap spirits in equally sickly and cheap pubs. From these dubious beginnings I have slowly learned more about the art of the cocktail, and along the way discovered many wonderful drinks from Manhattans and Martinis to Aviations and Sidecars. Named after one of my favourite cocktails, the Oh Gosh, this site charts my self-education in cocktails and mixology as I discover fresh cocktails and learn new techniques for making delicious drinks.

Hatfields Restaurant Los Angeles French 95 cocktail | White on Rice Couple
There’s a little jewel of a restaurant nestled on a bustling street in Los Angeles. In fact, it’s located on a very busy street that if you blink, you’ll pass it four times, like we did. #*&%@! Like pirates on a hungry looting spree (the sexy Johnny Depp kind of pirate, not the coast of Somalia kind ), we went searching for this delicious gem of restaurant called Hatfield’s in Los Angeles. We felt like pirates, ravenous for the Hatfield’s stash because after a long day of shooting in Los Angeles, we were ready to fight for some really good food.

Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Infused Vodkas (and DIY Tips!) from Sub Rosa Spirits Straight Up Cocktails and Spirits
Here at The Kitchn, we’ve talked a lot about the welcome new “culinary” approach to cocktail-making. About the growing interest in cooking up homemade syrups and garnishes, in juicing fresh, seasonal fruits, and about the enjoyable practice of flavoring alcohol by infusion at home (Faith’s quince ratafia (aka "Booze Froot"), and Kathryn’s nocino). This week we’re continuing this trend by looking at some delicious handcrafted tarragon- and saffron-infused vodkas. And as an added bonus, we’ll get a few DIY tips direct from the accomplished artisan who makes both.
